Discussion:
[sumo-user] netedit and changing connections

I’m using netedit from the 0.25.0 distro and trying to modify connections within intersections. In particular, I’m trying to remove extra connections in complex intersections which are inappropriate for local conventions here in California.

afaict I can get netedit to remove or modify the connections (and the line representations seem to reflect what I want), but when I save the output the connections seem to revert to the original configuration. These connections are what were chosen initially by netconvert (and presumably are what are chosen by netedit when it is told to recompute the junction).

How can I save the new .net.xml file and (hopefully) have a signal layout appropriate to the new connections? Perhaps a simple walkthrough example would be very helpful.

TIA

Hello Tom,
your symptoms match a bug that was fixed last week. Please try to edit your
network using the latest development version of SUMO and let me know if the
error persists.
regards,
Jakob

Yes, this seems better. Thanks!

btw, the connection layout for an intersection having 3 lanes each way is more symmetric than it used to be. Which is good…
